Ruby basically telling it like what us viewers been complaining about all this time. Glad she finally snapped and Jaune is just Ironwood lite now.
Ironlight
Ruby is a real one.
I don't understand why there was a warning at the beginning of this episode, but anyway, I am glad they let out their feelings a little.
Jaune went through a lot all by himself and Ruby is literally the youngest character yet has all these expectations placed on her. I feel like this is definitely a long time coming for her, and I am interested in how RT will handle this development.
I think the Suicide-Like behavior of the Paper Pleasers?
(They were pretty suicide Cult-like)
so it wasn't Ruby and Jaune's blatant
Could'be been both
It makes sense why they are viewed like that. To be fair did they really have a choice? In their world their version of "death" is to merge with the tree once they fulfilled their purpose. For them to be kept alive after because of Jaune's "need" of being a hero is quite cruel to them. Its kinda the same with us, where once we get old enough eventually its are time to go. To have someone to keep bringing you back for their own selfish need... you'd eventually act the paper pleasers.
BRO WE NEED TO ORDER JAUNE AND RUBY A THERAPIST THEY ARE SO MENTALLY UNSTABLE JEEZ THE TRAUMAAAA
with all the sh*t they have had to deal with I dont blame them one bit, 2 of the most emotionally driven characters in the show.
The gang is acting like....The Gang.
Jaune gave them a quest to protect people and a solution in that he'd use his familiarity with the place and speed to find a way out...and they complained.
And this is after they ignored Ruby's obviously different and not okay behavior.
It makes them all look reaaaaaaaaaaallly bad.
There's a good way to handle it, even though it's cliche. Have all their individual problems interrupt them when Ruby's trying to show them her feelings (or unintentionally doing so.)
Have the book loving Blake be overly excited to see a story book brought to life.
Have Yang happy to see her like this after their recent trauma and distracted by falling even more in love with her.
Have Weiss trying to pick up the leadership role and keep them on track.
It's an ensemble cast. Their notes are supposed to come together to make music.
Not stay quiet so they can focus on one note.
The fallout at the end was great.
And Jaune actually carried his weight story wise.
But you're supposed to build up that energy before dropping it like that.
Not just let the characters meander around...being oblivious and goofy.
I dunno.
Das jus me doe.
Jaune is the one most familiar with all those tasks already, he should just keep on doing that instead of shoving the work off on the girls since he seems to love helping them so much. But I'm honestly I'm like eff them paper people, they need to find a way out, not waste time with the NPCs. I wish they could've gotten one to go to the tree though lol.
Agree with this a lot. With RWBY, I usually end up liking how things resolve but the build-up is hit or miss from volume to volume.
Jaune almost told them he killed Penny.
Imagine Ruby reaction would be on hearing that
he already told them he kill her when he explained what happen
I'm pretty sure they would have gave Ruby a big old reaction in the episode before if he had told them how Penny died. Not to mention his lines in this episode only alluding to him killing Penny
Man I really love Ruby this time around, the Ruby that has tried to stay positive the whole time and accumulated so much PTSD, finally character, I so want to see how she's going to pan out, will she become like Qrow, or will she be like her mother like she wanted ?
I really like how the first one she snapped at is Weiss, the two are supposed to have this close relationship, but it's been felt in the anime that since beacon their relation as shifted.
Really heart breaking to me that once Ruby turn to Yang, her first thought was to protect Blake and not trying to understand her sister.
I really feel for Jaune and I hate the others to be so quick at down playing the fact the people he's been living with for the past 20 years are dead.
Ruby is right though. It is make beliefs friends, Jaune said it himself they don't have Agency, to him they're not even really alive.
Ruby did a good thing getting away from the team, she needs more than ever to understand herself, something she was never able to do. she'll come back to Team JWBY, but will they still have a place for her ?
And lastly the moment Jaune turned on Ruby was so greatly justified, and Jaune actually agrees with Ruby, eventho it's painful they fully agree with each other.
Please let the resolution to ruby's character be worth it after all this time
copium
I KNOWWWWW BUT I'M IN TOO DEEP TO QUIT NOW
bro let me get some too- 😭
What did I just said in the last episode? Glad Ruby finally came out and said it right in their face. She is the youngest one of the bunch who has to do everything, and got blamed for it every time. No one ever really care about her, Qrow maybe, but he isn't here right now.
I think they all care, hence why they felt so bad after everything in this episode, its just Ruby is always so mentally strong they probably didn't realize how much the stress built up. After all, they are all just a year older than she is. As for blaming her, its probably just a defense mechanism on their part, hopefully a route for character development.
Yes!! let all that anger out!!!😡
>leaders of their team
>gone through heavily traumatic stuffs
>developed ptsd
seeing Ruby and Jaune break out in this episode is such an emotional rollercoaster, this situation might just be worse than volume 4
Finally snapped
Welp...
its about fucking time!
Ladies and gentlemen, we got her. Took us 9 volumes but, by god, we finally found the point where it tips....the point where it breaks.
Aye so just gonna guess here but what if the mouse is the brother. Also if not he has to be the one to help ruby it just makes sense. Let me know you ideas guys.
mouse is a girl
whoa... usually there's a lot of people in comment section... but this time, they all disappears...
Every episode must have English subtitles
how does this show keep getting worse... im kinda in it for dedication to completion tbh but also watching rwby go down the qrow path is kinda entertaining in its dark regard
Ruby snapped!!! and it was actually good. No more pretending everything is fine, no more we are all besties, shut the fck up!
Jaune lashing out was also so amazing by putting Ruby back in her place. This whole drama would have been great if it happened seasons ago. We have been pretending for too long. great shid.
this is such a good ep
Yo
The two characters who pretty much have gone through the most trauma have finally snapped, well justified outburst from both, especially Jaune, can't imagine being trapped there for who knows how many years.
As a side note, I paused and read through all of Jaune's to-do-list and its fucking hilarious. My personal favourites are "Save Ren from falling into koi pond", "Stop Nora from climbing the pebble tower", "Help Pyrrha w/her hw :>" and of course, "STOP. THE. GOOSE".
guess its time for Ruby to allso sort out her feelings
NGL this episode was great, just me?
I think this new team really improved the show tbh
Hopefully ruby don't take the Sasuke route
Jaune VA delivers amazing voice ngl, this episods sparked more hope on me, hoping for further ressurection of RWBY quality
